In June 07, I went to Dali and stayed there for a while. From there, I took a package to Lijiang and ZhongDian in Diqing to see the so-called "Shangri-la" On my way back to Dali, I saw a gigantic rainbow that seems to follow me home. It was so huge that it was almost unbelievable. After a couple of days in Dali, I set off for Kunming by bus.

In Jan 07, I joined some of my friends for a short trip to Guangzhou to visit the Hakka Village and see the unique Tulou (Earthen Building) in Yong Ding.

Ah! It is so awesome! The roundish and squarish design is so unique and it's hard to imagine the number of families and people residing in a Tulou in those days.

Haha! just like our HDB Flat. The rich man's Tulou is built in many scenic spot with mountain and stream. I learnt that ancient Chinese believe in living in harmony with the environment and placed a lot of importance on Fengshui.

Egypt is a desert and life centers around the River Nile. This trip is interesting as I get to know one of the oldest civilisation in the world and learnt a bit of its biblical background and oh! it's so near the holy land.

Many times, I found myself back in school as a student in history class. It was like a trip down memory lane.

Ha! Ha! I remember how they found Moses in a basket in River Nile .. the political history behind the great dam and the Suez Canal .. the pharoahs and the pyramids. It's like reliving what I learnt in school.

This photo was taken at the Great Pyramids of Giza in Cairo, Egypt. This is the favorite spot for tourist.

From this angle one can take a photo with the 3 pyramids in the background. (Feb 07)
